Mark Twain (1835-1910)
“There is only one India ! It is the only country that has a monopoly of grand and imposing specialties. When another country has a remarkable thing, it cannot have it all to itself --- some other country has a duplicate. But India – That is different. ITS MARVELS ARE ITS OWN; THE PATENTS CANNOT BE INFRINGED; IMMITATIONS ARE NOT POSSIBLE. And think of the size of them, the majesty of them, and the weird and outlandish character of most of them!”
Global Hindu Heritage is very happy to inform that we started about 150 Bala Samskar Kendras in five States in India – Assam, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu - to teach about the richness of Hinduism, Hindu festivals, Hindu ethos, Hindu History, and culture and traditions. Sri Rajesh is a very active member in the community championing the Hindu Values not only to the children but also actively involved in making the Hindus proud of their culture.

Our Children are taught about the richness of our culture by teaching about various scriptures and the timeless wisdom found in them.  Our students will learn how Hindus conceive the abstract concept of God, their features, physical features and the divine qualities. We talk about the characteristics of Lord Rama, the attributes and his behavior and the qualities that we can emulate. Many of our Gods are incarnated at different times and we try to explain about different Avataras and the purpose of incarnating at a particular time.
Who is Lachit Barfukhan?
On November 24, each year, Lachit Diwas is celebrated state-wide in Assam to commemorate the heroism of Lachit Borphukan and the victory of the Assamese army at the Battle of Saraighat. "The new India is moving forward with the mantra of 'Nation First'. When a nation knows about its heritage, it can create a path for its future. Veer Lachit Barphukan's life gives us inspiration and direction, to always give priority to our great nation's welfare," he said.
In his address at the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Lachit Borphukan, the Prime Minister said, "I pay my respects to the land of Assam who gave us brave hearts like Lachit Borphukan. We received the opportunity to celebrate the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Lachit Borphukan at a time when the country is celebrating the Amrit Kaal of its independence. This historic occasion is a proud chapter in the history of Assam."
Lachit Barphukan was a general of the 'Ahom Empire'. He is known for his leadership in the Battle of Saraighat in 1671. In this battle, the attempt of the Mughal forces led by Ramsingh I to capture Kamrup was thwarted.
Aurangzeb's dream of ruling the whole of India was incomplete
Aurangzeb wanted his empire to be over the whole of India but he could not reach the north eastern part of India. For the expansion of Aurangzeb's empire, a huge army was sent to attack Assam. Aurangzeb had sent a Rajput king for this attack. At that time the name of Assam was Ahom. Raja Ram Singh had left with a huge army to win Ahom.
The name of the commander of Ahom Raj was Lachit Barphukan. At that time almost everyone was aware of this name. Earlier also many times people had attacked Ahom, which was thwarted by this same commander. When Lachit got the news of the arrival of the Mughal army, he had made his entire army stand near the Brahmaputra River.
This was the plan of Lachit Barfukan
Some historians write in their books that Lachit Borphukan (Barphukan- Borpukan, there is still a little mystery about the name) knew his area very well. He considered the Brahmaputra River as his mother. In fact, to attack the Ahoms, everyone had to come through this river and one side (the side where Lachit's army was) was on the higher side and by the time the enemy's army crossed the river, half of its soldiers would have been killed. would have passed This was the reason why no one was able to capture the Ahoms.
Fierce Battle of Saraighat
This battle is known as Saraighat. Lachit Borphukan's army had very few and limited resources. An army of lakhs of people was coming from the front, but the morale of Lachit Borphukan's army was on the seventh sky. As soon as the army came, it is said that a soldier of Lachit had killed several hundred soldiers of Aurangzeb. When the people in front saw the morale of the soldiers of Lachit Borphukan, there was a stampede in all.
After this war, no one even dreamed of attacking North-East India ever again. Especially Aurangzeb had realized the power of Lachit Borphukan. There was a heavy defeat of the Mughal army. Nevertheless, while returning from there, Ram Singh praised Lachit Barphukan. Lachit won the war but could not overcome his illness. Finally, he died in 1672. (Date of Birth: November 24, 1622). The writers of Indian history may have neglected this hero, but in the history and folklore of Assam, this character is as immortal as the Maratha hero Shivaji.
Because of the bravery of Lachit Barphukan, the Mughals could not capture Northeast India.
