William James  (January 11, 1842 - August 26, 1910) was an American philosopher and physician. He said:

"From the Vedas we learn a practical art of surgery, medicine, music, house building under which mechanized art is included. They are encyclopedias of every aspect of life, culture, religion, science, ethics, law, cosmology and meteorology."

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has organized Saraswati Puja on the sixth day of Navaratri inviting about 100 middle School children in Madhurawada area in Visakhapatnam.  Our Associates Kollu Srinivasa Rau, Santosh (John Paul was his name before he returned to Hinduism) and his friends have been actively involved in coordinating this event. It was conducted on October 12, 2021.

They explained the significance of Saraswati Puja during Navaratri Time. To facilitate the Saraswati Puja, our Associates brought the following items to enable the students to perform the puja: Goddess Saraswati idol/picture, mango leaves, flowers, bananas, rice, turmeric, white cloth, vermillion, Ganga Jal, fruits, etc. Books, pencils and pens were also supplied for the Puja.

Sri Srinivas talked about preserving our Sanatana Dharma and explained the scientific nature of Hinduism. They explained that every conceivable discovery was done by our ancient Rishis. Mathematics, infinity, zero, Physics, gravity, dentistry, surgery techniques,  quantum physics and many more.  We should take pride in our ancient Hindu Dharma.

They asked them to be cautious of Christian deception and they should guard themselves from the false propaganda.The Christian pastors are following the teachings of Jesus who says that he is a jealous God.  But all these Pastors claim that Christianity is a religion of peace. If Jesus is a God and decides our lives, how do we explain the differences among so many Christians. Why some people are poor, and others are rich. Some people have health problems all the time while others live with no major health problems. If Jesus is the savior, why did he create so much disparity in society. If Jesus is compassionate and loving, why is he creating so many problems for so many people even among Christians, Is Jesus a biased, jealous and hateful person?             

Our Associate Santosh (Who was known as John Paul) returned to Hinduism after practicing Christianity for several years. He started asking questions about some of the verses in the Bible. Pastors were questioning his faith and were blaming him for asking the questions. In order to silence him, they said that they would train him as Pastor.  He thought he should read the Bible and know its contents before getting training to become a Pastor. He was surprised and shocked by the Bible and realized that the Bible is  bloody, voluptuous, violent, and killings. It contains rapes, incest, extramarital affairs and stoning to deaths.

The Bible is full of hateful verses and commands stoning to death their own rebellious children. Fritz Cherry says, “Stoning is a form of capital punishment, and it is still used today in some places. While things like being a rebellious child and being involved in witchcraft are still sins, we are not to stone others to death because we are under a new covenant.”

Rebellious children must be stoned to death:

Deuteronomy 21:18-21

 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.

Many of them asked about the Pastor's assertion that they may be burning eternally in fire if they do not convert to Christianity. Our Associates informed them that God is not a killer and would not punish. God’s character is all loving, all compassionate, and all forgiving. So, they do not have to fear God to return to Hinduism if they desire to do so.

Many of them were surprised to find out what was written in the Bible and were happy to know something about Sanatana Dharma. As we all know very few Hindus have any idea about the richness of Hinduism. It was a pleasant surprise to find out something about their ancestors’ faith.
