Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to announce that we have employed two people in Tamil Nadu to engage in Ghar Waapasi. Mrs. Jyoti and Mrs. Jayalakshmi joined our team to participate in the Ghar Waapasi program. About three weeks ago they distributed Food as a part of a humanitarian effort to help the needy who were in desperate need. 
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has been consistently working to preserve and protect our Sanatana Dharma for decades. Last August, we started Ghar Waapasi to welcome those converted Christians back to Hinduism. As of today, we have 20 Pracharaks conducting Ghar Waapasi in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
    Many people across India have been calling to find out how we are organizing Ghar Waapasi and what it takes to organize in their respective Sates. Many of IT people who are following our efforts have been spreading the news to their friends and slowly reaching to many places. One such incident happened recently. Sridhar is one such friend who is following our efforts reached to our office in Visakhapatnam and decided to help organize Ghar Waapasi program in Tamil Nadu. It is through his help we have appointed two Pracharaks who are doing a tremendous effort
On 24th December 2021, 25 people belonging to fisherman community in Kadalur village, Chengalpet District of Tamil Nadu came back to their ancestral religion Hinduism. This included 6 couples, three senior citizens and 10 children below the age of 5. They were previously converted to Christianity on false pretexts and had been practicing Christianity for close to a year. GHHF hired Jayalakshmi Ji as its Pracharak in this village less than a month back. She has a good rapport with many of the fishermen families in this village, previously having worked as an RSS Pracharak here. She immediately swung into action and focused on six out of the 50 families that had converted to Christianity over the last several years. With constant discussions with women folk of these families she convinced them about the greatness of Sanatana Dharma and the importance place it has in the spiritual life of all Indians, regardless of caste, creed, or color. Within a matter of 2.5 weeks, these families agreed to formally come back to Hinduism. Single handedly she arranged for Ghar Waapasi of these families at the local Amman Temple. This required quite a bit of logistical work to get done in less than a week - from arranging for temple gurukula/priest to perform the Ghar Waapasi rites, to arranging for flower garlands, to buying new dresses for the families, framed picture of Hindu gods/goddesses etc. The program happened exactly as planned, at the temple premises in the presence of Goddess Devi. The temple gurukula welcomed back all the families, gave a primer on Sanatana Dharma, and taught them a short Ganesha Sthuthi to be chanted every day. The event ended with a lunch for all the families. 

In a forward looking move, Jayalakshmi Ji also had invited the panchayat heads of five panchayats in the vicinity of Kadalur so they can all come and see firsthand the work that is happening in her village. This should spur the panchayat heads to taking a lead on their own in their respective villages to do similar things. We hope this is the beginning of a mass movement in coastal villages of Tamil Nādu towards stopping conversion activities and bringing back those who we have lost to other faiths over time.
Garlanded
    Every community has its distinct character, customs and traditions. In Tamil Nadu, if you want to welcome back, offering garland is considered respectable and a sign of welcoming back home. That is the reason you will find out these former Christians are taken to the Temples, offered garland and performed puja where they received Arthi
Sri Sridhar from Bangalore and Satish Shanmugan, Omaha have coordinated the efforts and also by raising enough funds to make the food distribution possible. GHHF is grateful for their kindness and their passion to help these flood victims.

For the past few weeks, Andhra and Tamil Nādu were very much affected by floods, Lakhs lost their crops, cattle, horses, and other sources of livelihood. Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) / www.savetemples.org has identified a few localities in Kadalur Village, Chengalpattu Dist., Tamil Nādu which were seriously affected, and no help has been reached so far. Ninety percent of the places were not even accessible, GHHF has managed to bring all those to a temple nearby which is relatively safe and has distributed 5KG rice bags. These are utterly poor;  some are injured, sick, old, blind, etc. Our volunteers have worked tirelessly in identifying the neediest made a list and made sure everyone there got a bag at least. Recipients there with tears thanked the team so much it made a memorable and most salifying moment of our lives.
In addition to GHHF our friends Satish Shanmugan, Omaha and Sridhar Muthrasanallur, Bangalore have contributed to their capacity during the need of the hour to whom GHHF thanks a million for their humanity and responsibility. Hoping to do much more to the neediest. There are about 475 fishermen families and we managed to help about 400 families so far with the resources we have.

We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed twenty people so far. More people we hire more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
