Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is actively involved in protesting the illegal construction of Muntaz Hotel at the footsteps of Tirumala Hills in Perur Panchayat.
Instead of promoting spiritual, religious and sacred ambience, the previous administration allotted 20 acres of land to construct Muntaz hotel which adheres to non-Hindu traditions and promote Pub culture serving meet, liquor and non-sacred items.
Also, as per GO 746 and 747. This area should remail Punyakashetra – sacred place. Any other activities that would not promote sacredness and meet the religious requirements as per the guidelines of TTD.
There is every possibility that it may potentially disturb peace and public order.
Further, pilgrims going through Alipiri would not have to experience and feel the negative vibrations created by cooking meat on a regular basis.
Government officials’ comments
1)    Sri. B R Naidu, the TTD chairman said that “we will stop the constructions, we expressed our gratitude to the clerk, and this issue was raised in the assembly.”
2)    SRI B R Naidu’s letter to Estate Officer to take appropriate action to cancel the permit.
3)    When one of the Swamiji’s raised the issue to the TUDA officials, they said they did not give permission, and they would stop the construction.
4)    Two cases were filed against the illegal construction. TTD Officials and TUDA official said they do not have any relation with the construction as per the news Papers.
5)    Panchayat Secretary in the collector office said they gave two notices to the Hotel two times. They have not stopped the construction. They said, what can we do about it?
6)    Even in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Sri Vishnu Kumar Raju, MLA and Balli Chakravarti raised the issue and asked the government to stop the construction. Nothing has happened.
7)    A P government has not issued any GO demanding the Muntaz Hotel to stop the illegal construction
More than One Hundred Hindus submitted a letter to the District Collector on December 30.
More than one hundred representatives from various organizations met as a group and signed the following letter and submitted these letters individually and submitted them to the Collector of the Tirupati Collector.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is actively participating in demanding the ban of illegal construction of the Hotel. Smt. Rama Devi and other GHHF members are joining hands with several other organizations to become a powerful force to be reckoned with.
Following is the letter submitted to the District Collector I TELIGU. This is translated into English for our viewers.

I am writing to the Honorable Tirupati District Collector with my salutations
Main subject: Mumtaz Hotel alias Oberoi Group has been illegally and unjustly constructing illegal structures at the foot of the seven hills of Tirumala Divya Kshetram for the last three months without taking any permission from the Andhra Pradesh State Government, but the Panchayat authorities have not stopped those illegal works till today. The illegal structures have not been demolished; therefore, we demand that the illegal structures being constructed by Mumtaz Hotel be demolished immediately on war footing.
Sir,
Despite the government laws and government notices, Mumtaz Hotel has been constructing illegal structures in Perur Panchayat Survey No. 604 for the last three months, but the Tirupati District authorities are not stopping them.
On one hand, the TUDA officials have ordered the Perur Panchayat Secretary to take legal action against the illegal constructions of the Oberoi Group, while the Perur Panchayat Secretary is only issuing notices of illegal constructions to Mumtaz Hotel and is not taking any further action. The District Panchayat Officer has also told us that we will not stop the illegal construction of Mumtaz Hotel unless the Collector orders us to do so.
On the other hand, the TTD Board has also taken a resolution that Mumtaz Hotel will damage the sanctity and spirituality of Tirumala Kshetra. Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh State Government had issued GOMS NO:746 DATE: 2-6-2007 for the sanctity of the Tirumala Seven Hills. Currently, the illegal construction of Mumtaz Hotel falls within the limits of the Tirumala Divya Kshetra. Apart from this, the TUDA has also informed that there is no permission for the hotel in Perur Survey No. 604 as per ZDPR.
Therefore, we demand that you demolish the illegal structures being constructed by Mumtaz Hotel alias Oberoi Group without taking any permission from your government.
Thus
Sincerely.
(Signed by nearly one hundred Hindus and submitted to the District Collector).

GHHF will continue to monitor the events and inform the latest development. We request all of you take interest in protecting the sanctity of Balaji Temple on Seven Hills.
