Romain Rolland was a French dramatist,  essayist, novelist, , mystic and art historian, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1915. He said:

“… faith in the case of the Hindus has never been allowed to run counter to scientific laws, moreover the former is never made a condition for the knowledge they teach, but there are always scrupulously careful to take into consideration the possibility that by reason both the agnostic and atheist may attain truth in their own way. Such tolerance may be surprising to religious believers in the West, but it is an integral part of Vedantic belief.”

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has organized the Ghar Waapasi program in Vishakhapatnam are and talked to them about our efforts to welcome back to the Hindu field those who converted to Christianity. Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swamy and nearby Swamiji’s met with villagers in the Agency area and talked about the Vedas and scientific nature as well as our rich cultural heritage,  have been actively involved in visiting a number of villages. They distributed a 4-page document containing the rights of Hindus to encounter Christians and how to stop the construction of illegal churches.

Sri Swamiji explained the Hindu dharma is more open and inclusive. It is highly scientific, and all the scientific achievements were done by our ancient Rishis in such areas as surgery, medicine, music house building, and cosmology.

Renovation of Sri Rama Temple to stop Conversion

Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swamy has been working vigorously in the agency are to bring the Christians back to Hinduism through Ghar Waapasi. With the assistance of Sri Swamiji GHHF was able to provide a 1.5-kilometer water line to provide water thereby preventing them from being converted to Christianity. Similarly, Poleramma Temple is planned to prevent all 35 families in a village to embrace Christianity.

Now Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to participate in the renovation of the ancient Sri Rama Temple in  Malapeta village in  Vaddadi Mandalam in Visakhapatnam District. Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swamy has visited few times to this village and helped them to renovate part of Rama Temple. Due to a paucity of funds, the renovation work stopped. Swamiji went to look at the progress and assessed the situation and came up with an estimate of 1.5 lakh rupees. They needed Ram Parivar Vigrahas, Ganesh, and other statues.

In this village there are about 600 families. All of them belong to Maala (Dalit) community. Nearly 400 families got converted. Rest of the approximately 200 families do not have proper guidance to proceed and also no Hindu religious activities are organized to bring them together. With Swamiji’s guidance, they completed one-third of the renovation.

Sri Swamiji feels very strongly that those who converted Christians can be brought back to Hinduism after he talked to several of them. Their reasons to convert were two:

1)     Swamiji’s and Priests do not go to their houses and eat the way Christian pastors do.
2)     Hindu Temples do not allow them to participate in the worship services.

Based on their concerns, he decided that he has to show in good faith that we do not discriminate. Hence, first, he agreed to visit their houses and eat the food cooked by them. Whoever invites him for lunch or dinner he will go to their houses to make sure they are returned to Hindu Dharma? Second, he also agreed that during the Prana Prathishta time he would invite every Christian family to come to do the Abhishekam to newly installed Deities.
