1. Ghar Waapasi in Agency Area in Visakhapatnam – Welcomed 44 Christians back to Hindu Dharma; Committed to defend Sanatana Dharma. (September 22)

44 Christians returned to Hindu Dharma in Agency Area braving heavy rains.

44 Christians from three different villages returned to Hinduism. In spite of heavy rains, these Christians from three remote villages in a newly created Alluri Seetharamaraju District returned to Hinduism. All of them participated in Pujas and Homas. They have taken a vow to remain Hindus. They have been chanting Rama Nama and Hanuman Nama very frequently.

Sri Swamiji has been visiting this village for several months. These three remote villages are very difficult to even reach.

Advise to Reconverted Hindus

Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swami performed Puja inviting these 44 Christians back to Hinduism. He asked their name individually and asked them whether they will go Church or Devalayam. Each one said they will only go to the Temple, not the Church. He asked them to be on guard about the deceptive techniques Christians use to entrap them. He said that they have no business coming to the villages without approval. He said if somebody comes to our house, don’t you think they will tell who they are and why they come. If they are coming to convert our Hindus, we should drive them away. We should not even allow them to talk about their religion. For the sake of our culture, our children, we should practice our customs. All of them said they would protect Sanatana Dharma and would resist the Christian aggression.

2. Ghar Waapasi in Anantapur District – Organized Bhajans in a village; Taught them how to use the Instruments and explained the Benefits of Bhajans (September 21)

Bhajans were organized in a Village

Bhajan Session was organized in Kuraakula Thota Village. Sri Gopala Chary started the Bhajans and explained the importance of Bhajans. They even showed how to operate the instruments and encouraged them to Learn these instruments

In order to create a sense of belonging and also develop an affinity with different Gods and for peace of mind, Hindus have been doing Bhajans for millennia. Bhakti and Bhajans have been a part of Hindu culture. “Listening to devotional music regularly gives out positive vibes and contributes to a happier outlook on life. It results in an enhanced and elevated mood, especially when listened to during the mornings. It also fosters relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and increases self-esteem.” The songs are written about different Gods extolling the virtues of the Chosen God, a narrative from a particular role of a God, or an incident related to a particular narrative in the scriptures.

Bhaja singing not only imparts serenity and peace of mind, but it will transform your thoughts. They are also believed to reduce stress and develop compose among the singers as well as listeners.  Listening to Bhajan helps to promote immunity and increases the low prana energy level. Its positive vibrations relieve anxiety and act as an antidepressant.

According to research, it has been found that listening to bhajans and chants, increases the activity in the cells which releases Feel good hormone “Dopamine”. It also activates our brain making us more analytical and attentive, hence most people prefer to listen in the morning. Many Hindus believe that at the time of death, it is the devotion that goes with you, not the money or worldly goods.

4. Bala Samskar Kendras in Agency Area in Visakhapatnam – Weekly Update - Students are taught Moral stories, 108 names of Devi and Suryanamskaras and others. (9/19)

Bala Samskar Kendras in Agency Area in Visakhapatnam

GHHF is very happy to inform you that Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swami has taken responsibility of coordinating 20 Center in Agency area – many villages are in remote places where people have to walk to reach these places. We started these Schools in these areas to ensure our children are protected from aggressive Christian missionary activities. We found teachers to be dedicated and passionate about teaching our culture, stotras, slokas, Desha Bhakti Geethas, national heroes who contributed to enriching Hindu culture and also performed Surya Namaskaras along with meditation. Sri Swamiji is taking the responsibility of coordinating these Centers and he sends all the required information.

As we know that each month the material to be taught changes to some extent due to the monthly festivals, date births of spiritual and National leaders and other events. Our teachers incorporate these changes to make sure that our children are taught the relevant timely information.

Our Children are taught about the richness of our culture by teaching about various scriptures and the timeless wisdom found in them.  Our students will learn how Hindus conceive the abstract concept of God, their features, physical features and the divine qualities. We talk about the characteristics of Lord Rama, the attributes and his behavior and the qualities that we can emulate. Many of our Gods are incarnated at different times and we try to explain about different Avataras and the purpose of incarnating at a particular time.

Our children celebrated Hindu festivals in a true spirit by following the customs, traditions, and rituals. Celebrating these festivals at an appropriate time as they will be able to get a glimpse of the Indian culture. If children grow up seeing it as part of their upbringing, it will seep into their routine and remain everlasting. Our teachers Tell them the stories behind a particular festival or a particular God.  For example, our teachers talked about the significance of Guru Purnima.

Thus, Independence Day will be celebrated on August 15, 2022. Many schools are already preparing the children to learn the significance of Independence Day. The number of Hindus who sacrificed their lives to achieve freedom from the British is being discussed. They are practicing Desa Bhakti geetalu to celebrate Independence Day.

5. Delivered Keynote Speech at Hindu Mandir Executive Conference in Cincinnati, OH 9/18.

A three-day  conference was organized by HMEC  for three days - September 16 thru 18 in Cincinnati. This is the 15 Conference to discuss about efforts of different Mandir are making in order to protect, preserve and promote Hinduism.  Nearly 150 representatives attended and shared their efforts in USA, India, Caribbean countries, Canada and other countries .

In his Keynote speech Dr Prakasarao Velagapudi mentioned that Hindu house is on fire. Every Hindu should look at what is happening in Bharat. The roots of Hinduism are being pulled out in front of our own eyes. Unless we all work together to nourish the roots, our survival is at stake.

He said, Sanatana Dharma is our mother. She is being attacked, stabbed and suffocated. Can we afford sit quiet and become spectators without protecting her.  It is everybody’s responsibility to protect her and encounter all the efforts to malign her.

In fact, he said that we all need to pause all our activities to extinguish the fire.  We have been writing books for centuries, discussing endlessly, making suggestions for so many years, and became very active in social media.  If we are doing all these things, why our population is declining while other religions population is increasing? That means, there is disconnect between what we are doing and what is happening on the ground level.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 26 people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
1) Sponsor ONE Bala Samskar Kendra for $1000.00

2) Sponsor ONE Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks
